Arts schooling nonprofit Arts Entry Miami is increasing into the Central District of Miami-Dade County Public Faculties, a transfer organizers say will enhance entry to arts programming for 1000’s of scholars throughout Miami-Dade County.
The enlargement will permit Arts Entry Miami to serve college students in Brownsville, Allapattah, Liberty Metropolis, West Little River and Gladeview throughout the 2026-2027 college 12 months. With the addition of the Central District, the group says it’ll now attain greater than 17,000 college students countywide.
The milestone can be celebrated Monday, Could 18, throughout a launch occasion on the African Heritage Cultural Arts Heart. College students from kindergarten by highschool are anticipated to carry out music and dance items as a part of this system.
In response to organizers, the enlargement is a part of Arts Entry Miami’s broader effort to create a countywide system for arts schooling that ensures college students have entry to artistic studying alternatives no matter the place they dwell.
Jose L. Dotres, superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Faculties, may even be honored throughout the occasion with the inaugural Arts Champion Award for his help of increasing arts schooling entry throughout the district.
