Everyone knows that unforgettable theme track and iconic characters like Victor Newman from the long-running cleaning soap opera that many people grew up realizing as our grandmother’s, aunties’, and babysitters’ favourite “tales.” Whereas nearly the entire traditional soaps have now been cancelled, The Younger and the Stressed nonetheless airs new episodes. And now, two of the sequence’ favourite ’90s characters are set to return this Spring.
On Tuesday, CBS introduced the information that Vivica A. Fox will reprise her character, Dr. Stephanie Simmons, and Shemar Moore will return as Malcolm Winters.

“Malcolm Winters and Dr. Stephanie Simmons’ stunning return can have surprising and lasting implications for the residents of Genoa Metropolis,” the community described as reported by Individuals journal.
Moore’s run on The Younger and the Stressed lasted from 1994 to 2005. Since then, the “S.W.A.T” actor made shock appearances on the present in 2014, 2019, and 2023 for the cleaning soap opera’s fiftieth anniversary. Nonetheless, Fox’s return marks her first look on the present since 1995.
The 61-year-old actress took to Instagram to share the thrilling information, writing, “SURPRISE Dawlings! Ya gurl @msvfox & @shemarfmoore are returning to @youngandtherestlesscbs as Dr Stephanie Simmons & Malcolm! A lot LUV to @youngandrestlesscbs for this AMAZING reunion.” she wrote.
“Ain’t sufficient hearth emojis for this,” gushed sports activities journalist Jemele Hill.
“Lemme guide my flight to Genoa Metropolis!❤️” commented one other person.
As for Moore, the 55-year-old father-of-one took to his Instagram tales to share the information, writing, “Again the place it began [heart hands emoji].
This information comes simply weeks after it was introduced that stars from The Younger and the Stressed, together with Eric Braeden, who playsVictor, and Bryton James, who performs Devon Winters, are set for an enormous crossover on Past the Gates, the primary cleaning soap opera with a predominantly Black solid since Generations, which ran on NBC from 1989 to 1991. BTG can be the primary new cleaning soap opera on TV in 25 years.
Moore and Fox’s Y&R reunion will reportedly air on CBS in April 2026.
