A brand new cultural initiative is inviting musicians around the globe to assist create what organizers hope may develop into Miami’s first widely known anthem.
Elevate Miami and Guitars Over Weapons have launched “Elevated Tracks 305,” a worldwide songwriting competitors in collaboration with the Frost College of Music on the College of Miami. The competition asks creators with a significant connection to Miami to compose an unique music that captures the town’s tradition, power and international musical affect.
Regardless of Miami’s function as a hub for genres starting from Latin pop and hip-hop to jazz and digital music, the town has by no means formally adopted an official anthem.
Submissions for the competition opened March 4 and can shut March 30.
